SEO & PPC Strategies

Have you ever been told that your business needs an SEO strategy or a PPC strategy? Do you think you only need one and not the other?

You probably have heard the terms, SEO and PPC, but do you know what those acronyms mean? Do you know why and how they can scale your business to new opportunities beyond your reach?

Search Engine Optimization

Well, let’s begin with Search Engine Optimization, or SEO for short. The different Search Engines that we are optimizing for are Google, Bing, Yahoo, Baidu, Ask, etc.

The process of SEO is to improve the overall quality and quantity of traffic to your website pages.

The traffic that is being brought to the website happens through organic search rather than through paid advertisements that you will typically see as the top three searches when you are using a search engine.

The benefit of SEO is that the traffic that is generated is completely FREE, builds awareness, and is sustainable, there is a sense of credibility and trust, and it can boost your return on investment.

Pay-Per-Click

Meanwhile, PPC stands for Pay-Per-Click, also known as paid advertising. The purpose of paid advertising is to allow an advertiser to pay a fee each time one of their ads is clicked on. The advertiser is targeting different visits from PPC based on their business target audience.

When PPC is done correctly the cost for the click is less than the return you get on investing in the click. For example, if you pay $1.20 for a click, but it resulted in a $200 sale, then your business made an exceptional profit from utilizing PPC.

Now that you understand the basics between the two marketing strategies, the question continues to stand of whether you should use one or both.

With a proper strategy, it is important to utilize SEO and PPC together because they will be able to support each other and will drive greater results for your business.

The Benefits of Utilizing Both SEO & PPC Strategies:

- Keywords from PPC can be put into SEO

- Generate remarketing campaigns from potential customers that have visited your website organically

- A/B testing with ad copy and landing pages

- Keywords with a high cost, volume, or low conversions can be moved from PPC to organic search because they are still relavant

- Boost your business brand awareness with strong paid and organic search visibility

Now, these are just a few key benefits of SEO and PPC. Although, you can use the separately when they are used together the outcome is larger than anyone could imagine.
